3. Cookies and Other Technologies

3.1 Cookies: Wordcradle uses cookies to collect certain information about your browsing activities. These cookies help us analyze user behavior, track preferences, and provide a personalized experience. You have the option to disable cookies in your browser, but this may impact the functionality of our services.

3.2 Third-Party Services: We may use third-party services (e.g., analytics tools, advertising networks) that use their own cookies and technologies to collect information about your use of Wordcradle. These third parties have their own privacy policies and we encourage you to review them.

4. Data Sharing

However, we may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in delivering our services, such as hosting providers and payment processors. These third parties are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations.

4.2 Legal Compliance: We may share your information with law enforcement authorities, government agencies, or other third parties if required to comply with legal obligations or protect our rights, safety, or property.

5. Google Drive Integration

Wordcradle offers the ability to save your work directly to Google Drive. This section describes how we handle data when you use this feature.

5.1 Data We Access: When you use "Save to Google Drive," we request permission to create files in your Google Drive. We use the limited drive.file scope, which only allows us to access files that Wordcradle creates—we cannot see, modify, or delete any other files in your Drive.

5.2 Data We Transmit: When you save a document to Google Drive, we transmit the title and content of your chapter or project to Google's servers, where it is saved as a Google Doc in your personal Drive account.

5.3 Data We Store: We temporarily store Google authentication tokens in your browser session to enable the connection. These tokens are not permanently stored and are cleared when your session ends or when you log out. We do not store your Google password.

5.4 How We Use This Data: We use your Google account connection solely to save documents to your Drive when you explicitly request it. We do not use your Google data for advertising, analytics, or any other purpose.

5.5 Data Sharing: We do not sell, share, or transfer your Google user data to any third parties, except as necessary to provide the service (i.e., transmitting your content to Google to create the document).

5.6 Revoking Access: You can disconnect Wordcradle from your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account Permissions page and removing Wordcradle's access.

Wordcradle's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

6. Data Security

6.1 We take the security of your information seriously and implement reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6.2 We store your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.

7. Children's Privacy

Wordcradle is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you become aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us, and we will take steps to remove the information from our records.
